29-30 November 2014 - EUCognition after EUCogIII, Rapperswil
EUCognition workshop on “The Future of EUCognition”, in Rapperswil Castle, Switzerland
(Saturday 14:30 to Sunday 13:00)
Rapperswil Castle & Hotel Speer in Rapperswil, on lake Züri, Switzerland
- 60 min. by train from Zurich airport, 40 min. from Zurich main station
The purpose of this meeting is to plan for EUCognition’s continued existence after EU Commission funding ends in December 2014. To this end, EUCognition's existing assets will be identified, and proposals for how to maintain their value will be heard. A mission statement will be formulated and responsibilities delegated. We will also formulate most of the legal statutes. A better understanding of EUCognition's relationships with other organisations will be reached, and the financial and legal aspects of maintaining EUCognition in its future form will be resolved, particularly with regard to identifying future sources of income. Topics of discussion will include putting an equality policy in place, how best to develop an online presence, and how to foster member interaction.
We expect that ca. 30-35 people can participate, so registration is only final once ‘approved’ by the organisers.
NOTE: For participants we will take care of the hotel bookings in Rapperswil and pay these directly. Do not book individually.
The deadline for receiving reimbursements documents until Nov. 15th does not hold for this particular event.
