Ph.D. STUDENT TRAVEL GRANTS

A limited number of grants are available to allow Ph.D. students to attend the euCognition Inaugural Meeting. Travel grants will have a maximum value of €400 which will be paid to students after the meeting, on production of appropriate receipted documentation. Reimbursement is contingent on two conditions listed below.

These grants will be awarded on a competitive basis. Applications will be assessed using the information supplied below.

All students whose research falls within the field of Cognitive Systems, broadly defined, are wecome to apply for support. In addition, applications from students whose supervisors are not members of euCognition are particularly encouraged. Applications for support are not limited to Europe, but may be made from any country.

Reimbursement is conditional upon the successful applicant:

  1. Providing a description of their research group, including members, projects and recent publications, for inclusion on the euCognition website;
  2. Participating in a a breakout session in which they will collectively draw up a list of measures and actions they would see as important for their own research and research groups.

The closing date for submission of applications is 5:00 pm, Monday, 6th February 2006. Notification will be send by email by 5:00 pm, Wednesday, 8th February 2006.
